Melaleuca essential oil or tea tree oil is quickly becoming one of my all around favorite essential oils for cracked heels, as well as, other DIY skincare projects due to its versatility.
It’s best known for its purifying qualities, which makes it a great use for cleansing your skin (and home surfaces) and promoting overall healthy immune function. And did you know, Melaleuca essential oil is renowned for its rejuvenating effect on the skin.
You can also use Melaleuca essential oil topically for skin irritations by applying 1–2 drops to the affected area.
And for an added cleansing property, combine 1–2 drops with your facial cleanser, or apply to the skin after shaving.
For best results on cracked heels, I like to make my own Melaleuca essential oil foot balm. The recipe is below.

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan over very low heat, stir until melted.
Remove from heat and stir to combine, then add essential oils. Pour mixture into a clean jar.
